I visited here as a member of a wedding rehearsal dinner and it was an incredible dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious — definitely the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The steak tenderloin was cooked perfectly medium rare and the flavor was simply unreal. I can’t say how a normal visit would go, but for a special event, they took care of us very well. The only challenge was how loud it was in the restaurant, but that still didn’t take away from our excellent experience.
Having been to Glenwood’s a few times in the last year or so, I thought it was time to write a review. We were glad we made a reservation as the restaurant was full at dinner time. Despite the crowd, we enjoyed pleasant conversation and felt well taken care of – the service was prompt and helpful. The portions are quite substantial, so you will not go away hungry. We each enjoyed a cocktail which was potent yet refreshing. My dining companion and I shared the cornbread and Brussels sprouts appetizers – probably our least favorite items as the usually stellar cornbread was dry and somewhat overdone; the Brussels while flavorful were also a tad well done for our liking. For entrees, I had the tenderloin filet, and my dining partner enjoyed the pork shank which was one of several daily specials. Both were cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. The generous sides of mashed potatoes and spinach were a welcome accompaniment. For dessert we shared the Key lime pie and peanut butter cookie cheesecake – both were delicious and there was plenty to take home for a late-night snack. Glenwood’s knows exactly what it is and plays the part perfectly - a family night out, a business dinner, or a date night all will feel comfortable here. After several recent Columbia area dining disasters, we chose Glenwood’s to right the ship and were glad we did.
Loved it here. Ive been here before when it was Stanford Grill but never for brunch. We sat next to the fire which was nice. Steak and eggs were good and we split the French toast as an appetizer and it was delicious. There was a lovely piano player playing music. Ambience is elegant. Great for a date or family.
Overall, a really great experience. The service is top notch. Attentive but not burdensome or overbearing. The crab cakes were a bit small, but very tasty. Loved the fries and green beans as well. The only drawback for me was how dim the lighting is
The place has very nice & attentive staff and a great vibe. The food is good, but not quite as good as the price. You're really paying for the service and atmosphere. It's a great spot for a meal that's a step above the usual restaurant.
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. At the time of our arrival there was no wait time for a table. We were there on a Saturday afternoon. Steven R. was our waiter and he did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone to celebrate any occasion :)
We went at about 4 o’clock on a weekday, and there was plenty of seating available. Our waiter Michael was friendly and quick. We realized after looking at the menu that this place is basically Copper Canyon, but with a different name. We actually did not love Copper Canyon, but we really liked Glenwood’s. The spinach and artichoke dip, and the calamari were both really good. The fried chicken salad was great. I got a side of ranch in addition to the dressing that came with the salad, and the ranch was really good and tasted homemade. Their sweet potato fries are some of my favorite that I’ve ever had, and they were really good with the homemade ranch. We also got the strip steak special, with bacon mac & cheese, which was great- but the picture didn’t come out unfortunately.
This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. The food was undeniably good, with the sweet potato being a standout – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The rotisserie chicken salad was a true highlight, a delicious and well-balanced combination of flavors and textures. A special shout-out also goes to the pasta dish, which was expertly prepared and incredibly satisfying. The service was also commendable, adding to the overall positive experience. Whether you're craving comfort food or something a bit more sophisticated, this restaurant has something to offer. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning. The staff was very kind and helpful. The parking is available.
